Consultants of Color Training Cohort

The Nonprofit Management Fund in collaboration with the African American Leadership Alliance of Milwaukee (AALAM), and the Society of Process Consultants have developed a unique training and professional development cohort made up of new or soon-to-be nonprofit and small business consultants. The 6-week program develops a professional support system for consultants of color to work with local nonprofits.

The program introduces process consulting as an iterative form of humble inquiry and guidance in which the consultant works alongside the client to co-create solutions. The curriculum combines the tenets of process consulting as a vocation with the practical lessons of building a consulting business or operating as
an internal consultant or strategist. The learning process is a student-centered, inquiry-based cooperative learning experience with a group of peers. At the end of the program, each participant has the opportunity to earn the Certified Process Consultant™ credential.
